Alert Message:  The account period has closed and the account books cannot be updated. Please use QuickBooks to make these changes.

Cause of Alert: This is a data related error that occurs when a record Autofy has picked up to sync into Quickbooks is part of a closed account period. As a security feature QuickBooks does not allow Autofy to make changes to or insert records if they fall within a closed account period. 

Resolution: 

  • If you would like the record to be updated or inserted into QuickBooks you will need to do so manually  in QuickBooks. 
  • If you do not want the information inserted into QuickBooks you can disregard the error message and adjust your timestamp forward if necessary. (Check out this article for details on how to adjust your timestamp.)
